2007 National Conference Election Results
Sunday, August 12, 2007Chuck Canterbury was unopposed in his bid for re- election to his 3rd term at the top position of the National FOP Executive Board. In a very moving nomination Chuck's son Casey, who recently joined the Myrtle Beach Police Department and for the first time attended the conference as a card carrying FOP member, took part in the nomination of his Dad.
Dave
Hiller, 1st Vice President and Tom Penoza,
National Treasurer also went unchallenged in
their bid for re-election to their respective
offices.
After a
decision not to seek re-election, Ohio FOP
member Mike Taylor was congratulated for his
time and service as FOP 2nd Vice President.
This opened the door for a replacement for the
position. First nominee was Colorado member
Frank Gale who served as Sgt at Arms for the
Grand Lodge. The second nominee hailed from
Kentucky, Kevin Pendergrass. In the only
contested race Frank Gale won by an
overwhelming majority and will take his place
on the board as 2nd Vice President.
Indiana
FOP President Tim Downs (sorry no picture
available) will fill Frank Gale's former office
of Sgt at Arms. Tim was also unopposed in his
bid for the office. Wyoming's Mike Burnett will
continue to Chair the Board of Trustees
nationally.
And of
course, once again Willie Patin was selected to
represent the Louisiana Fraternal Order of
Police as National Trustee.
