Kevin Hornaday began his distinguished law enforcement career with the Liberty Police Department in 1997. Over the years, he served in a variety of roles, gaining extensive experience and leadership skills. Kevin spent ten years as a Sergeant with the Franklinton Police Department, where he was recognized for his dedication and commitment to public service. He retired from law enforcement in 2014 due to medical reasons.
Kevin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Central Christian College of Kansas and is a certified Criminal Justice Instructor, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of law enforcement professionals.
In 2007, Kevin joined the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Lodge 46 in Rocky Mount. His leadership and passion for supporting fellow officers led him to help charter another lodge, which eventually merged back into Lodge 46. Kevin has served as a State Trustee and currently holds the position of Secretary for Lodge 46.
Kevin’s dedication to the Fraternal Order of Police extends to the state level, where he became active on the State Lodge Board of Directors in 2010. That same year, he was appointed to the Constitution & ByLaws Committee, demonstrating his commitment to upholding the organization’s standards and integrity. In 2018, Kevin was honored with the role of Chair of the committee, where he continues to play a vital role in shaping the policies and governance of the FOP. Additionally, Kevin also serves on the Technology Committee, where he assists members requesting help through the NC FOP website.
