Martin dedicated over 30 years of service to the Asheville Police Department, building a distinguished career in law enforcement before his retirement. Martin has been a proud member of the Fraternal Order of Police, Harold C. Enloe Lodge 1, since 1984. Throughout his long-standing membership, he has held multiple positions on the Lodge 1 Executive Board, demonstrating his leadership and dedication to supporting his fellow officers. He currently serves as the Vice President of FOP Lodge 1, continuing to advocate for the needs and interests of the law enforcement community.

In addition to his local involvement, Martin plays an active role within the North Carolina FOP State Lodge. Since 2014, he has served as the Treasurer for the NC FOP Foundation, overseeing financial operations and contributing to the organization’s growth and stability. In 2023, he took on the role of Chairman of the Retiree Committee, where he works to support retired law enforcement officers and ensure their continued connection and involvement within the FOP.

Martin’s dedication to law enforcement and the Fraternal Order of Police reflects his lifelong commitment to service, leadership, and community.
