
Trey Warner
Chairman of Trustees
Trey Warner began his law enforcement career with the Raleigh Police Department in 1994. During nearly three decades of service with the department, he served in a variety of assignments and leadership roles, including patrol officer, K-9 handler, corporal, detective, and patrol sergeant. He retired from the Raleigh Police Department in January 2023.
In April 2023, Trey continued his law enforcement career by joining the North Carolina Department of Insurance Criminal Investigations Division as a Special Agent, where he currently serves.
Throughout his career, Trey has demonstrated a strong commitment to law enforcement training and professional development. He became a certified North Carolina General Instructor in 2005, a Specialized RADAR and LIDAR Instructor in 2014, and a Specialized Firearms Instructor in 2024. He continues to provide instruction and training through the North Carolina Department of Insurance.
Trey is an active and dedicated member of the Fraternal Order of Police. He played an instrumental role in chartering Old North Statewide Lodge #100, expanding the opportunity for law enforcement officers across North Carolina to become part of the FOP. He currently serves as State Trustee for Lodge #100.
In 2026, Trey was elected Chairman of the Trustees of the North Carolina Fraternal Order of Police, continuing his commitment to strengthening the organization, supporting its local lodges, and serving the FOP membership across the state.
Trey and his wife, Keri, are the proud parents of two daughters and a son.
